Moving Train Book Club

@

Newport Public Library

Wednesday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m.

Moving Train Book Club has changed its meeting time and location.

Everyone is invited to participate in a discussion on The United States of Europe by T.R. Reid.

The title may sound like textbook reading, but it is agreeably laid out in easily acdessible language and with humor.  Quoting the jacket cover of the book, "This new United States of Europe has more people, more trade, more wealth, and more votes on ever international body than does the United States of America," and "The new Europe is a place where college education is free, doctors still make house calls (with no bills to pay), and corporate 'downsizing' is against the law."

Please join the group to discuss the implications of a stronger European Union.
