The Moving Train Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 at the Newport Public Library to discuss "The Affluent Society" by John Kenneth Galbraith.
First published in 1958 and last revised in 1998, this witty and enduring classic of modern economics and social commentary remains as relevant today as it was when it first appeared almost 50 years ago.
Copies of the book can be purchased at Canyon Way Bookstore by mentioning the Moving Train Book Club.
